Muriel Bernstein

Muriel Bernstein, Housemother, Frost Hall BRATTLEBORO - Muriel Bernstein, 96, formerly of Chapin Street, died Thursday morning (2 October 1997) at the Thompson House. She was born in New York City on 12 July 1901, the daughter of W. Arthur and Adelaide (Bayersdorf) Lesser. She was employed as a stylist at Lord and Taylor in New York City. She leaves a daughter, Susan Bryant of Gettysburg, PA; a son, George Halperin of White River Junction; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Note that Mrs. Bernstein was housemother for men in Frost Hall during the 1965-66 academic year.
